The Most Shocking Story. Our Story. Why We Built Konnektoren.help — And Who We Built It For.  Part 2

Part 2

Honestly, if you told me two years ago that our platform would become this big, I would have laughed. Back then, Konnektoren.help was just a tiny website with four exercises.
Four.
And the only reason we created them was to help me to pass a German exam.

I struggled so much with the Konnektoren. My teacher told me:
“If you don’t master the Konnektoren fast, you will not be able to pass the course.”
And I really didn’t want to retake the course. It was already so hard for me. I hated this topic with all my heart. I simply could not put the words in the correct order. No matter how much I tried, it was always wrong.

It was really, really hard.

I spent hours and hours in the library. I read all the grammar books there. I watched all the YouTube videos. I talked to my friends. I even joined a German literature club with Germans.
But grammar was still my weakest point.

And then I sat there one day and wondered:
Why? Why can’t grammar be fun?
Why can’t we learn German like in a game and actually enjoy it?

And that was the day when Konnektoren.help was born.

🎮 The Paper Game That Started Everything

Before anything existed online, I created a small game on paper.
Just a simple game — but it helped me.
It helped me finally understand the Konnektoren.
It helped me memorize the patterns.
And for the first time, I felt like grammar didn’t have to be this painful monster.

But I wanted something more.
I wanted something I could take everywhere with me:

  • repeat in the subway

  • repeat in the classroom

  • repeat in the toilet

  • use every free minute

  • use just for fun, not for stress

I enjoyed it so much.
So I made the first version of Konnektoren online.

It had only 4 pages, but for me it was HUGE.
I could not believe that I had created it.
I felt like I had conquered the world.
Like I had conquered the whole German grammar and finally managed to understand it.

And honestly, I couldn’t believe that my dream came true — that I actually created a platform to learn German grammar.
The first and only online platform that focused specifically on German grammar.

🌍 Two Years Later

Now our platform has more than 800 pages.
It is translated into multiple languages.
And we have users from all around the world.

This is the most shocking part for me.

Two years ago it was just a small website, born from panic, frustration, and my hate for Konnektoren.
Now it’s a real platform helping thousands of people and that is why it is called Konnektoren.help because it is helping people like me, who are struggling with Konnektoren to master them. Good luck!
