German Vocabulary A0: Free Book for Absolute Beginners

If you want to learn German from zero, the hardest question is often simple:

Where should I start?

You do not need 500 words on your first day. You need a small, clear first step: useful words, simple pronunciation, and a place to practice.

That is why I created German Vocabulary A0: Your First German Words, a free companion book for Level A0 on Konnektoren.help.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Start with Level A0 here:
Welcome to Level A0 on Konnektoren.help

What Is German Vocabulary A0?

German Vocabulary A0 is a short free book for absolute beginners.

It is made for learners who:

  • know little or no German

  • want a clear first vocabulary list

  • need pronunciation help

  • want to practice with interactive exercises

  • prefer a simple path instead of random word lists

The book is intentionally small. It teaches about 75 first German words in seven short chapters.

What You Learn in the Free A0 Book

The book follows the same order as Level A0 on Konnektoren.help.

You learn:

  • ๐Ÿ‘‹ greetings and introductions

  • ✔ yes, no, please, thank you, sorry

  • ๐Ÿ”ข numbers 0-10

  • ๐ŸŽจ ten basic colors

  • ๐Ÿ”ค the German alphabet, including รค, รถ, รผ, รŸ

  • ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿ‘ง family members

  • ๐Ÿ—“ days of the week

These are not advanced words. They are the first words you need before you can build longer German sentences.

Why This Book Works Together With Konnektoren.help

The book is not just a PDF with vocabulary.

Each chapter gives you:

  • a small set of useful words

  • a memory picture for each topic

  • pronunciation help

  • a direct link to the matching exercise

The learning path is simple:

  1. Read one short chapter.

  2. Say the words out loud.

  3. Click the exercise link.

  4. Practice until the words feel easy.

  5. Come back the next day.

This helps you avoid a common beginner mistake: reading many words, but never actively using them.

Practice Every Chapter Online

You can practice each book chapter for free on Konnektoren.help:

  1. Essential Greetings ๐Ÿ‘‹ - your first hello and goodbye

  2. Essential Responses ✔ - yes, no, please, thank you, sorry

  3. Numbers 0-10 ๐Ÿ”ข - for prices, ages, and phone numbers

  4. Basic Colors ๐ŸŽจ - describe the world around you

  5. The German Alphabet ๐Ÿ”ค - learn letters and special characters

  6. Family Members ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿ‘ง - Mama, Papa, Bruder, Schwester, Oma, Opa, Kind

  7. Days of the Week ๐Ÿ—“ - Montag to Sonntag

This order works well for absolute beginners: first understand the words, then practice them actively.

Who Is This Free German Book For?

This book is best for you if:

  • you are starting German for the first time

  • you feel lost with large vocabulary apps

  • you want to learn slowly and clearly

  • you want a free PDF or EPUB you can read anywhere

  • you also want interactive practice after reading

It is also useful if you teach beginners and want a small first vocabulary path for your students.

Final Thoughts

Learning German from zero should not feel chaotic.

Start with a small first set of words. Read them. Say them. Practice them. Repeat them.

German Vocabulary A0 gives you that first step, and Konnektoren.help gives you the exercises to make the words stick.
