๐ŸŒ The Internet Was Built for Humans. AI Agents Need a Different Internet.

Open a website today.

What do you see?

Menus.

Buttons.

Banners.

Search boxes.

Pop-ups.

Navigation bars.

Beautiful landing pages.

Almost all of it exists for one reason:

A human is expected to look at the screen and click.

But what happens when the visitor isn't human?

Imagine telling your AI:

“Find me a German course that prepares me for B2, costs less than €100 and lets me practice speaking.”

Your AI doesn't care whether the website has a beautiful hero section.

It wants information.

What does the course teach?

How much does it cost?

When does it start?

What level is required?

What exercises are available?

Can I purchase it?

Can I enroll my user?

Suddenly, the traditional website starts looking strangely inefficient.

Today:

๐Ÿ‘ค Human → Google → Website → Menu → Product page → Checkout

Tomorrow:

๐Ÿ‘ค Human → ๐Ÿค– AI agent → information → decision → action

The agent may never need to visually “visit” the website at all.

This could fundamentally change how we build the internet.

Websites may need two layers:

๐Ÿ‘ค A human layer

Beautiful design, stories, videos, explanations and interfaces.

๐Ÿค– A machine layer

Structured data, APIs, permissions, prices, availability and actions.

And this creates a fascinating question for every company:

Is your website understandable to AI?

Not just searchable.

Understandable.

Can an agent determine what you sell?

Can it understand your pricing?

Can it compare your product?

Can it verify information?

Can it perform an action?

At Konnektoren, this is something I find particularly interesting.

Today, we design learning platforms for students to navigate.

But tomorrow a learner might simply tell their personal AI:

“I want to reach B2 German in six months.”

The agent could discover learning resources, understand their structure, select exercises and build a learning path around the student.

Maybe the next generation of websites won't only have users.

They'll have agents representing users.

And that could change everything from:

๐Ÿ”Ž SEO
๐Ÿ›️ e-commerce
๐Ÿ“š education
๐Ÿ’ณ payments
๐Ÿ“ข advertising
๐ŸŽจ web design

For the last 30 years, we optimized the internet for clicks.

The next internet might need to be optimized for understanding and action.
