Sylvox: What If Your TV Could Go Almost Anywhere?
Most televisions have one very obvious requirement:
Keep them indoors.
Water, rain, humidity, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures are generally things you want nowhere near a normal television.
Sylvox has built an entire product ecosystem around asking a different question:
Why should a television be limited to the living room?
The company makes TVs for gardens, terraces, swimming pools, bathrooms, kitchens, campers and even mobile setups that can simply be rolled from room to room.
And that's what makes Sylvox interesting.
It isn't necessarily trying to reinvent what we watch.
It's trying to reinvent where we can watch it.
The Outdoor TV Is the Star
Outdoor televisions are at the center of the Sylvox lineup.
These aren't simply conventional TVs placed inside a protective cover.
Sylvox builds its outdoor models with metal enclosures, weather protection and much brighter displays designed to remain visible outside. Its current outdoor range includes IP55-rated models, while different product families are designed for different lighting conditions.
For a covered terrace or shaded patio, Sylvox offers displays reaching around 1,000 nits.
For open spaces and direct sunlight, models can reach roughly 2,000–5,000 nits, depending on the series.
That difference is enormous when you're outside.
Take a normal living-room television into bright sunlight and the picture can suddenly become difficult to see.
An outdoor TV has to compete with the sun.
Deck Pro: A TV for the Terrace
The Deck Pro family is designed primarily for partially shaded outdoor environments.
Think:
a covered terrace,
a shaded garden,
a pergola,
or an outdoor kitchen.
The current Deck Pro models combine 4K displays with weather-resistant construction and smart-TV functionality.
Sylvox also integrates features such as Google TV, Chromecast and Apple AirPlay into parts of its outdoor lineup, meaning the experience is much closer to using a normal modern smart TV than using a specialized industrial display.
Except this one can live outside.
Pool Pro: Now Put the TV in the Sun
Things get more interesting with the Pool Pro range.
These models are intended for brighter outdoor environments, including areas exposed to direct sunlight.
That means pool areas, rooftop terraces, open patios and other locations where a conventional display would struggle.
Sylvox currently sells Pool Pro models alongside QLED versions, with its outdoor lineup extending across numerous screen sizes.
Imagine watching Formula 1 from the pool.
Or having friends over for a football match without everyone disappearing into the living room.
The television becomes part of the outdoor space rather than something that determines where everyone has to sit.
And There's Even an Outdoor Gaming TV
This might be one of the more unexpected products in the lineup.
Sylvox offers a 120 Hz Gaming Outdoor TV.
So the idea isn't merely watching movies outside.
You could potentially build an entire outdoor gaming setup.
Console.
Terrace.
Large screen.
120 Hz display.
Summer evening.
Suddenly the garden starts looking suspiciously like a gaming room without walls.
The current German lineup includes a 55-inch Gaming Series outdoor model designed for partially shaded environments.
The Bathroom Mirror That Is Secretly a TV
Then Sylvox moves indoors again—but into another environment where ordinary electronics aren't ideal.
The bathroom.
Its bathroom televisions have IP66-rated waterproof designs and are available as wall-mounted or built-in versions.
But there's a lovely design trick.
When the television is turned off, it works as a mirror.
Turn it on and the display appears.
Sylvox currently offers 24-inch and 32-inch versions with Google TV.
So your bathroom mirror can suddenly become the place where you watch the morning news, YouTube or an episode of something while getting ready.
It's one of those products that initially sounds slightly excessive.
And then you imagine having one.
A TV Under Your Kitchen Cabinet
The kitchen presents a different problem.
You may want a screen there, but you probably don't want a giant television occupying valuable counter or wall space.
Sylvox therefore makes under-cabinet kitchen televisions.
The current range includes different finishes—including white, silver, red and mahogany—as well as compact models designed specifically around kitchen installations.
It's a surprisingly logical place for a television.
You can follow a cooking video while preparing dinner.
Watch something in the background.
Listen to music.
Or finally stop carrying an iPad around the kitchen with flour-covered hands.
TVs for Campers and Vehicles
Sylvox goes further into specialized displays with televisions for campers and vehicles.
Its current range includes the Limo, Trailer, Marine and Vehicle families.
Some models are designed around the needs of RV and camper installations, where space and power availability are very different from those in a normal home.
The Trailer series even includes an integrated DVD player—something that feels almost retro until you remember that a camper may spend considerable time somewhere without reliable internet access.
This is another good example of Sylvox designing around an environment rather than simply taking a living-room television and making it smaller.
And Then There's the TV You Can Roll Around
Sylvox also makes mobile touchscreen TVs.
Its current lineup includes 27-inch and 32-inch rolling touchscreen models.
Think of something halfway between:
a television + giant tablet + smart display + furniture.
Instead of permanently mounting the screen somewhere, you can move it.
Bring it into the kitchen.
Roll it beside your desk.
Take it into the bedroom.
Move it somewhere else when you're exercising.
This changes the relationship with the screen completely.
Normally we move ourselves to wherever the television is.
With a mobile display, the television comes to us.
Sylvox Also Makes Commercial Displays
The same technology naturally makes sense outside the home.
Restaurants, hotels, cafés, stadiums and shops often need displays that operate in environments where ordinary consumer televisions aren't suitable.
Sylvox therefore also produces commercial outdoor displays and digital signage.
At IFA 2026, the company highlighted high-brightness commercial displays designed for outdoor visibility, with specifications including 1,000–2,000 nits, IP66 protection and 24/7 operation, alongside content-management functionality.
A restaurant could put a digital menu outside.
A hotel could install information displays around a pool.
A shop could place a screen facing the street.
The same basic engineering problem appears again:
How do you put a screen somewhere screens normally don't survive?
That's What Makes Sylvox Interesting
Sylvox's product catalogue initially looks like a collection of unusual televisions.
Outdoor TV.
Bathroom TV.
Kitchen TV.
Camper TV.
Rolling TV.
But there's actually a consistent idea connecting them.
The conventional television industry asks:
How can we make the picture better?
Higher resolution.
Better HDR.
Higher refresh rates.
Better contrast.
Bigger screens.
Sylvox asks another question as well:
Where else could the screen go?
And that's arguably the more interesting part of the company.
A TV doesn't necessarily have to be a giant black rectangle permanently attached to your living-room wall.
It can become a mirror when you're not watching it.
It can sit beside a swimming pool.
It can travel inside your camper.
It can hide underneath your kitchen cabinet.
It can roll behind you from one room to another.
Or it can stay outside while it's raining.
Sometimes innovation isn't about inventing an entirely new category of technology.
Sometimes it's about taking something incredibly familiar and putting it somewhere nobody expected it to be.
And Sylvox is basically asking:
Where do you want your TV next?
